
Congratulations to KHS One Act Play for advancing to Bi-District competition!

On Tuesday, March 7th the Kermit High School K-Band performed at the Region UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation hosted at Andrews High School. The K-Band earned a Division 2 (Excellent) in Concert and a Division 1 (Superior) in Sight Reading! Congratulations to these awesome students on their accomplishment!

Back in December many of the KJHS Students competed in the UIL A+ Academic Competition in Alpine, TX. We had many students that placed individually or as a team. Congratulations to all these students on a job well done. Go, Daubers!!





Back in December, we took several KJHS band members to Crane in order to audition for chair placement in the ATSSB Region 6 JH All-Region Bands. Eight students earned chairs and performed a concert back in late January with students from around of region. These students are Damian Aguirre, Ivan Fuentes, Dillon Hayes, Jadrienne Prieto, Emma Vorreyer, Aamiyah Gaona, Denzelle Rosa, and Ian Bejarano. We are proud of their efforts and for representing the KJHS band with class! Go, Daubers!!!





KISD will be having a sendoff for our girls powerlifting team headed to the Regional Powerlifting meet in Shamrock. We wish these girls the best of luck as they compete!
The sendoff will be at 10:00 a.m. The bus will leave the field house, pass between the Jr. High and HS campuses on school street, turn left on East Avenue, and then turn right onto the Andrews Hwy passing Kermit Elementary.

We will be having a Meet & Greet on Tuesday for our New Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, Coach Jonathan Fellows, in the Kermit High School Commons. All are welcome!

Lots of hard work has been put into this entire process, and these 6 young men never backed down from the challenge. We are all proud of these guys and are excited to watch them compete.


Kermit ISD Basketball All-District Boys and Girls

On Saturday, February 18th, 4 members of the Kermit High School K-Band competed at the UIL Region Solo & Ensemble Contest hosted at Odessa College. Adan Lujan, Natalie Stanley, Salma Lujan, and Fernando Cazarin performed together as a brass quartet. They earned a Division 1 rating and advanced to the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest! Congratulations to these fine musicians on their outstanding accomplishment!


Kermit High School students Joshua Nunez and Nate Gensler signed letters today to attend colleges and play their respective sports at the collegiate level.
Joshua Nunez will be attending Bethany College in Kansas and will be playing baseball.
Nate Gensler will be attending Eastern New Mexico University and will be playing football.
We are very proud of these young men as they represent Kermit athletically and academically. We wish them the best as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

On Saturday, February 4th, KHS Choir member DJ Dawson competed at the UIL Region Solo and Ensemble Contest hosted at UTPB in Odessa. DJ sang very well and earned a Division 1 rating! With this rating, DJ qualified for the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest! Congratulations to DJ Dawson on this outstanding accomplishment!


This past weekend the 8th Grade Boys competed in the Jr. High District Basketball Tournament. They made it to the tournament championship game and even though the fought hard they finished 2nd place in the tournament. Way to go boys what a great accomplishment.




This past weekend the 7th Grade Boys competed in the Jr. High District Basketball Tournament. They made it to the tournament championship game and they came out with the win. The 7th Grade Kermit Jr. High Boys are the Tournament Champions. Congratulations Boys.

Due to the weather, the JV Boys and JV Girls basketball games tonight against Stanton have been cancelled. The Varsity Girls game will begin at 5:00 followed by the Varsity Boys at 6:30.


Last night Frances Stallings was honored as one of the Scholastic Athletes of the Year through the 33 Lead Foundation. We are proud of all of her hard work and dedication in both athletics and in the classroom!
