The Kermit High School Ballet Folklórico team recently competed at the state level in the Texas 4-H Talent Showcase held in College Station. Representing their community with pride and excellence, the team earned 2nd Place in the competition. Their outstanding performance showcased the rich traditions of Ballet Folklórico and reflected the hard work, dedication, and talent of the students and their instructors. Congratulations to the team on this remarkable achievement and for representing Kermit so well on the state stage.

On Monday, May 25, six members of the Kermit High School K-Band represented their school at the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Lehman High School in Kyle.
Their brass sextet performance of Canzone No. 4 earned a Division II (Silver) rating, a notable achievement at the state level.

Kermit High School held its annual "Awards of Excellence" on May 14, 2026. Our seniors truly came out "dressed to impress" as we celebrated a night dedicated to recognizing their hard work, dedication, and achievements throughout their high school careers. Students were honored for earning top awards in their classes, while many were also recognized with scholarship awards to support their future endeavors. It was a memorable evening celebrating the outstanding Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished.
